Last year was a beast. I am cautiously optimistic that I can achieve my goals this year, but after spending the entire day sick, I can only hope tomorrow will be better. It’s time to manifest good things. What are some of your 2019 goals?

A Written Word

“A written word is the choicest of relics. It is something at once more intimate with us and more universal than any other work of art. It is the work of art nearest to life itself. It may be translated into every language, and not only be read but actually breathed from all human lips; — not be represented on canvas or in marble only, but be carved out of the breath of life itself.” ―Henry David Thoreau

The Characters Within A Book

“The characters within a book were, from a certain point of view, identical on some fundamental level ‒ there weren’t any images of them, no physical tangibility whatsoever. They were pictures in the reader’s head, constructs of imagination and ideas, given shape by the writer’s work and skill and the reader’s imagination. Parents, of a sort.” ―Jim Butcher
