Lisa Marino has covered a wide array of genres and subject matter for over thirty years, acquiring the nickname “Miss Poison” along the way.

“Poison In Lethal Doses” originated in 1995, has been published in the confines of many a publication, and continues on today in its typical “No holds barred” fashion. The originator of the pen dipped in poison…

A born & raised native of New York City, Lisa currently resides in a suburb of Boston, a few miles from the ocean.

She is in the process of writing a series of dark urban fantasy novels with historical fiction & mythology at the heart, and tackles subjects outside that realm for regular posts. Facts, not fiction, are her first love within the world of words. She began writing a romance novel that is genre-specific and a challenge to her comfort zone a little over a year ago.

She is a freelance editor with twenty-four years of experience, some of which she writes about, never disclosing who her clients are.

She is real, snarky, direct, about as subtle as Thor’s Hammer, and refuses to hold back. “I wasn’t born to be boxed in.”

You can find her surrounded by books, water, music, a cat or two, and her laptop. She is often drawing eyes on notepads, a clear sign of her artistic flair.

Scorpio by birth, Moon Child by choice. Fierce Fibro Warrior. Migraineur. A powerful voice for the Mental Health Community.

“In lumine Tuo videbimus lumen ~In Thy light shall we see light.”

“Eruditio et Religio ~Knowledge and Faith.”

Writer/Editor of: Black & Red Roses, The Man Beneath The Character, Poison In Lethal Doses, Tough Love & Great Respect: Uncensored, Speaker Of Powerful Words, The Descent Into Hell Is Easy, Cannon Fodder, Shut Down The Stigma, & more.

She is regularly featured on Writestream & Fibro Warrior Weekly. She has been featured in Chiropractic Daily, Fibromyalgia – ME – Chronic Pain, Brainless Blogger News, Fibromyalgia and Migraine News, Pharmacy Express Daily, LIVING with Fibromyalgia, Back Pain Relief Daily, Spiritual Reading, and FML Daily. She is also a highlighted “Writer To Read”, “Fascinating Writer”, and was named an “Inspiring Writer of 2017”.~

The Original Goddess Kitten 1995-2013
Cat (Not Her Real Name) is a British Bombay with gold eyes. She is predominantly silent, but quite possibly the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet.
Kitten (Also, Not Her Real Name) is a Tortoiseshell. You cannot see it in this photo, but her eyes are several different shades of green, mint being the most predominant shade. Her personality matches that of her owner. 😉
OGK- Original Gangster Kitty: Approximately 15 1/2 year old longhaired, green-eyed Ragamuffin. He likes to follow me around the house, bop me on the head in the middle of the night, meow like a lunatic, and obsessively watch me cook and do pretty much anything in the kitchen. I am a fascinating movie to him.
OGK has passed away. He was put to sleep on 5.9.2016 at the age of 16. 😦 He is dearly missed.

“The pen is mightier than a sword, a gun, or any weapon that stands before it. At the end of the day, only one can win. Those who choose the pen know.” -Unknown

If it is my own work, of which I own all the copyrights, I will immediately request it be removed if you do not ask first and post my copyright notice. Do not be shocked if you see that I have deleted your reblog and/or not approved it. Ask first and we’re fine. 1. Lisa,

In a felting group on Facebook I was lucky enough to come across your quote regarding the “3 Laws of Art” and adore it. I am teaching my first felting class this weekend and wondered if I may quote your “3 Laws” quote to the class. Basically it would be your quote and citing Coldpress 2015 as your original quote does on an 81/2 x 11 sheet of paper in a clear frame at the front of the “classroom”. (I say “classroom” as the location is the front of a wool co-operative warehouse located in Carleton Place, Ontario Canada)
For the record, Law #1 is my favourite.
I appreciate your consideration of my request

    Have a great day
